A wide range of modern finishing materials for ceilings allows you to create original decor options that attract attention and admiration. One of these options is the stretch ceiling "Starry Sky" - just look at the photo to see this. Live such a ceiling looks several times cooler!
In this article you will learn how to create the effect of a starry sky on the ceiling, what materials are used for this, and also get acquainted with a variety of design options for stretch ceilings decorated under a starry sky. But first, we invite you to take a short excursion into history.
Who invented such ceilings?
We reliably know the name of the one who came up with stretch ceilings with a starry sky: his name is Bill Witherspoon. Being a bright creative personality with organizational abilities, Bill managed not only to generate an original idea of ceiling decoration, but also to realize it.
And it was like that.
“One day, Bill Witherspoon came to the dentist. In anticipation of the reception, he examined the interior of the clinic and drew attention to the ceiling, where the blue sky with clouds was painted with paints. Despite the fact that the picture looked artificial and did not create a complete illusion of a clear sky, it was a breath of pacification - and this is an important factor that helps to form an even emotional background in patients' queues. The artist decided to experiment with options for decorating the ceilings in this style. To make the sky as natural as possible, Bill used panel false ceilings. Glazed gratings imitating a window “crashed” into the main ceiling. In the interior space, a backlight system of powerful fluorescent lamps was mounted. “Inside, the lamps illuminated a high-quality photograph of the sky behind the glass, creating the necessary effect of transparency and natural sunlight.”
Bill's idea came to the taste of many - and so that after some time Witherspoon founded the company "Heavenly Factory", which closely engaged in the development of new decor options. Stretch ceiling in the style of "Starry sky" has become one of the most successful projects of the company.
Today, an artificial night sky, strewn with luminous stars, adorns the ceilings in children's rooms, in bedrooms and in living rooms. It can also be found in the interior of fashionable clubs, restaurants, business centers and medical institutions. To implement such a project, various finishing materials and technical equipment are used.
Important! To ceiling "Starry Sky" delight you with quality and beauty, entrust its installation to specialists. Even the most minor flaws in the design process can ruin its appearance.
From simple to complex
There are several options for creating stretch ceilings "Starry Sky" - both simple, not requiring much effort and time, and complex. Among them:
- canvas with photo printing,
- fiber optic sprockets,
- LED Planet Points
- a combination of photo printing and optical fiber,
- a combination of photo printing and diode illumination,
- canvas with the image applied with luminescent paint,
- imitation of stars from Starpins pins or Swarovski scattering lenses.
Let us consider in more detail each item in this list.
Canvas with photo printing
The easiest and budget option is the stretch ceiling "Galaxy", which is a glossy PVC canvas with sparkles. The color of the canvas varies from black and dark blue to deep purple. Also on sale is a canvas printed on it with an image of distant space with characteristic color "spots", comets, planets and spirals of galaxies.
The light reflected from the sparkles on the glossy panel creates the effect of the shining of stars in the night sky. It is advisable to use a chandelier as the main light source. Two or three sconces will provide additional lighting, soft and diffused. If desired, several small spotlights can be mounted in the ceiling - over the entire area or in a specific area.
The story of the origin of "star" trends in the decor
It is believed that the idea of creating ceilings with a "celestial" theme originated in America. Bill Witherspoon - an artist and a creative person - once urgently visiting the dentist's office, he could not pay for the services. The client will offer the dentist an original way to pay: Bill decided to decorate the cabinet ceiling with drawings that mimic the sky. Visitors to the dentist enthusiastically reacted to such an unusual design, given that sitting in a chair, they could admire it forever. Over time, the imitation of the starry sky has become one of the most popular installations in modern interior design.
Options for every taste
A technological breakthrough allows you to make a variety of projects for decorating the ceiling: with hinged structures, with optical fibers, LEDs, using large-format photo printing, combining an incredible amount of traditional finishing materials and new technical devices. Considering precisely the “cosmic” concept of decor, today we can distinguish two main types of ceilings that allow you to make the effect of the starry sky:
- Dynamic ceiling is a rather aggressive solution, which involves the use of dynamic effects and various programs to control brightness, color overflows and flicker intensity. Such a ceiling under the starry sky would be more appropriate in the living room or in the kitchen to give a festive mood. In a bedroom or a child’s room, too dynamic a picture will be tiring,
- Static ceiling - a starry imitation, smooth and natural, mesmerizing with a smooth twitch. Such a relatively neutral flickering decor can relax, preparing for bedtime.
From the standpoint of price and security, “static” is preferable. During installation, less electronics are required, and the starry sky suspended ceiling is lighter and more reliable. The dynamic ceiling looks spectacular in clubs, cafes and other entertainment venues.
The most popular options for "space" ceilings
Ceiling "starry sky" with or without flickering - a universal option for virtually any location. The finishing decision will complement the extraordinary atmosphere in the kitchen, bring some magic to the nursery, make the atmosphere in the bedroom romantic and relaxing, and turn the living room into a center of modern art. It remains only to determine the technique of arranging the apartments.

A large number of twinkling stars promotes relaxation. This type of lighting is ideal for living rooms such as a bedroom, living room, bathroom or children's room. But how can LED backlight technology work in rooms and how to create such an original do-it-yourself backlight? You will find answers to these questions in our article!
The starry sky with LED backlighting is ideal for organizing bright and clearly directed light. More and more architects are using this option to give the interior a highlight. LEDs or fiber optic threads are installed on the stretch ceiling, due to which hundreds and thousands of star galaxies are obtained. A great alternative can be recessed LED lights to simulate the stars on the ceiling.
Using fiber optics, you can not be afraid of the fire of electrical wiring, as it does not conduct electricity. In addition, you can recreate any dynamics of movement and light - torsion, flicker or flight of stars. Thanks to the light filter, the optical fiber threads can be highlighted in different colors, which change with a certain frequency. You can achieve an unforgettable effect from lighting and decorating the ceilings and the room as a whole, simply by connecting the two types of lighting.

The living room is the place in the apartment where you spend most of your time. Therefore, it is so important to create a truly soothing and relaxing atmosphere here. To do this, you can safely use the ceiling with the stars - a great solution for those who want to get away from everyday life and create a unique interior.
To get a more realistic picture of the starry sky, fibers of various sizes are used. Thus, stars of different sizes glow on the stretch ceiling, creating the feeling that some of them are closer and others are farther.
The light output of the starry sky LED system is greater than that of the fiber optic system, so it can be used as the main light source in the room.

Most people dream of going to bed in the evening and just looking at the starry sky. However, this is only possible if you live in a small town, and the bed is located directly under the window. If this is not possible, try to create a night sky in your own bedroom with your own hands.
It is not necessary to order a stretch ceiling with individual light fibers. Skilled craftsmen will build a starry sky with LEDs, and you will get hundreds of spectacularly shimmering bright stars on the ceiling.
To create a starry sky yourself, you will need drywall sheets for attaching optical fibers, construction tools, mounting glue, electric cable, profiles and suspensions on which the ceiling will be mounted.
First you need to make markings for the installation of fasteners and drill holes with a diameter of 1 mm. An optical fiber is glued into each hole. Their number ranges from 1 to 3 threads. This step will take a little time, since each fiber needs to be threaded into the canvas of the stretch ceiling. Then you can fix the threads in the holes with quick-drying glue. Next, the filaments of the optical fiber are trimmed with pliers. In the end, you just have to install the structure on the ceiling, and you're done!
If you want to control the lighting in the bedroom, the remote control starry sky option is right for you. At will and mood, you can adjust the flicker of light or choose a different color range of lighting.
Photo: ceilings sky with stars in the bathroom
There is nothing better than a relaxing bath after a hard day's work. What about the bathroom under the night sky? To do this, you do not have to book a room in an expensive hotel. You can place the starry sky on the ceiling right in the bathroom. Constellations and their location are selected solely on the basis of personal preferences. This is what makes the night sky ceilings an individual interior solution.
Stretch ceiling with stars
The ceiling of the LED "starry sky" is especially popular in saunas, baths and pools. Thanks to him, the atmosphere of softness, peace and comfort is created in the room, which is so necessary for a good rest.
If you have an indoor pool at home, one of the best options for finishing the ceiling will be a stretch ceiling with shining stars. Reflecting in the pool water, they will create an even more spectacular and bewitching effect.
18. Stone veneer panel
A stone veneer panel illuminated by LEDs in combination with a ceiling, the starry sky in the design of the bedroom acts as an art object.
So to summarize. If you decide to buy and install a starry sky ceiling in your home, start with a design project. And the result will live up to your expectations.
Fiber sprockets
An artificial starry sky is excellently obtained from a placer of white or multi-colored fiber optic threads mounted in a stretch ceiling canvas. PVC film can be any shade - from saturated dark to light.
For the installation of threads in the fabric, holes are punctured, hiding the wires and the light generator in the space between the fabric and the main ceiling. The diameter of the luminous dots is only 0.25 mm. Each thread is cut at the same level with the fabric or at a distance of not more than 2 mm from its outer edge.
For your information: there are kits for sale consisting of 150 (or more) threads and a light generator, through which you can control the brightness, the dynamics of color change, etc. The cost of the kit depends on the quality of the threads and the control unit, the number of modes and other factors.
LED Planet Points
Glowing stars on the ceiling. can be made of LEDs. The color of the canvas can be any - black, dark or light blue, violet, beige, pastel pink, etc. The diameter of the LEDs is larger than that of the fiber optic filaments, therefore, to create a stretch ceiling "Starry Sky" you will not need many light sources .
Visually, LEDs look like large spots, not dots like optical fiber, so they can be used to simulate small planets. Most often, LEDs are placed on a stretch ceiling in random order. You can also lay out the most famous constellations from them - such a ceiling design will look original in the bedroom or in the children's room.
Among the advantages of LEDs is their low price. The disadvantages include work only in the glow mode: to make of them a flickering starry sky, unfortunately, will not work.
A combination of photo printing and fiber
An excellent replacement for spotlights are fiber optic threads that perfectly mimic the light of distant stars. Threads are passed through holes made in the canvas of the Galaxy stretch ceiling at the location of the sprockets.
Further installation is carried out in the same way as in the version with a plain canvas.
The second option for combining web with photo printing and fiber optic threads does not provide punctures in the stretch ceiling. For its implementation, an additional canvas of any color is used, which is stretched between the main ceiling and the film with the printed image. The holes for the fiber are pierced in the intermediate web, so that the outer film remains intact and illuminated from the inside.
The combination of photo printing with optical fiber is attractive because it allows you to use several light modes: constant, intermittent, wavy, with alternating colors, etc. The control unit simulates the effect of a falling comet, northern lights, twinkling stars.
The cost of such a ceiling depends on the number of stretch linens (one - if you make punctures, and two - if you need to do without holes in the outer film), their quality, as well as the number of fiber optic threads.
Combination of photo printing and diode backlight
Bright glowing stars on the ceiling can be made by combining the canvas with the image printed on it and the LEDs. As mentioned above, diodes perfectly play the role of large stars, so when choosing a picture for a stretch ceiling, you should give preference to options with clearly visible planets.
An original solution will be the installation of a pendant lamp with a domed matte shade. It can be placed in the center of the ceiling or slightly closer to the wall. Such a lamp will represent a large planet (for example, the Moon), surrounded by smaller stars-LEDs.
How much do stretch ceilings of this type cost? The final price of the project depends on the size of the canvas, the number of LEDs and the need to install additional planetary lights.
Tip: if desired, you can combine LED and fiber optic light sources by mounting them on a canvas with photo printing.
Canvas with fluorescent paint
Another budget option, the costs of which include the cost of the canvas with the image and payment for its installation.
Transparent fluorescent paint is applied to the film by photo printing. In daylight, the image on the canvas will be almost imperceptible, but at night a magnificent starry sky will appear on the ceiling. What it will be - with a scattering of small stars or with giant planets - you decide.
You can mount such a canvas in a children's room. Modern fluorescent paints are safe for health, and the effect that they create when the lights are off will delight any child.
Imitation of stars from Starpins pins or Swarovski lenses
Glowing Starpins pins are an original way to decorate Starry Sky Stretch Ceilings. In addition to pins, you will need a PVC canvas (plain or with an image) and an LED strip.
An LED strip is placed in the space between the film and the main ceiling, which will illuminate the Starpins pins. Before mounting the film, punctures are made in it. On a monophonic film, holes are punctured in random order, and on a canvas with photo printing - where the larger stars are located. Then the canvas is stretched, and pins are inserted into the holes, which can be the same color or multi-colored.
The light from the tape hidden behind the film will hit the pins, making them glow from the inside. Using Starpins, you can lay out any pattern on the ceiling: a constellation, a rocket, a flower, an animal, a cartoon character, etc.
Swarovski lenses are used to create the effect of diffuse radiance during the installation of stretch ceilings with fiber optic threads. They are put on the free ends of the threads at the final stage of installation - after the threads are threaded through the holes in the stretched fabric and trimmed.
This technique is used in the interior of clubs, bars, restaurants: it helps to create a stylish decor for the entire room or a separate area. The price of this finish is slightly higher than when using Starpins pins, but the result is worth it.
If you plan to install stretch ceilings with a starry sky in your home, we recommend that you contact the profile company: they will offer design options to choose from and perform quality installation of the ceiling. You just have to decide on the type of canvas and light sources, as well as choose an image to your taste - all the other chores will be taken over by specialists. Excellent results and good mood are guaranteed!
Stars
They are represented by dots or symbolic drawings, distributed randomly or in the form of some kind of figure. The night sky looks more natural if you make dots of different sizes and colors (not only white, but also yellow, light green, pinkish, blue), because in reality the intensity of the glow and the shade of the stars are different. The child will like the option with bright multi-colored stars in the style of hand-drawn five-pointed figures.
Realistic constellations
To recreate realistic constellations, take into account the location, brightness and color of the stars. To do this, select some part of the map of the night sky and transfer it to the ceiling. The image is copied to AutoCAD or another similar program with a backing, a room plan is superimposed on top. Then the scale and rotation of the map are adjusted so that a beautiful picture is obtained. After that, the points are transferred to the ceiling, observing the scale, distance, color and brightness class.
This option is chosen for the bedroom. With the lights off, it gives the impression of spending the night in nature.
Starry sky on a white ceiling
The picture, which is constantly visible, bothers over time, and changing it is not easy. A good option is space, visible only at night. Stars become visible in the dark due to the internal illumination, during the day it is just an ordinary white ceiling.
Now consider the ways to implement the starry sky. We will analyze in detail all the options, from the simplest and most budgetary, to complex and expensive technical solutions.
Painted stars on the ceiling
This method is better to choose for relatively simple drawings, and it is desirable to use stencils. Realistic images (for example, galaxies, a scattering of stars against a dark background, zodiac signs) require artistic abilities, an amateur will not cope. You can invite a professional, but it will cost quite expensive. If you want something like this, it is better to choose a mural or print on a stretch canvas, which we will discuss in detail later.
Paint selection
For such drawings, compositions that glow in the dark are used, because you want to admire the starry ceiling at night. Similar modern paints do not contain phosphorus and are completely safe. Depending on the pigment, they are divided into three types:
- Luminescent.
- Fluorescent.
- Retroreflective.
The latter type does not emit radiance, but only returns the rays that hit it. In the interior, such compositions are not very convenient, since they require an included night light or other lighting.
Fluorescent inks are very bright. Glow appears under ultraviolet rays. When painting the ceiling, you have to supplement them with black light lamps (or Wood). Devices are located, for example, behind the cornice.
The fluorescent image must be protected from sunlight, otherwise the effect disappears over time.
Luminescent paints absorb light during the day, and give out at night, gradually fading. Such compositions are more convenient, since no additional equipment is needed.
Pigments are added to a different base. The physical properties of the paint depend on it: how well it lays, what type of surface it is suitable for, etc. Universal latex and acrylic compositions are usually used for decorating the ceiling. There are specialized paints for concrete, wood, PVC, polystyrene or polystyrene, which fit well on the appropriate type of coating.
The color scheme is represented by cold blue-green tones and warm (red, yellow, orange, pink, purple). Paints can be translucent, then the image is less noticeable during the day. Gold (glows yellow-green) and silver (turquoise) are also available.
Preparing Star Templates
Images are printed on a printer or drawn by hand, then the middle is cut out. It is more convenient to use self-adhesive paper, but a film with a sticky layer is also suitable. If this is not the case, take plain paper, cardboard or a thick plastic folder.
Features! Stars in the sky are of different sizes, so the templates are prepared in several sizes. Three options are enough. Moreover, large and medium ones are made in the form of stylized stars, and for small round punctures are enough.
Drawing
Pre-marking. You can first sketch a diagram on paper or create an image of a ceiling with stars in a computer program on a plan of a room, and then transfer it, observing the proportions.
Templates are glued to the places where the stars should be located. It is best to fix it with paper tape. The paint is applied with a sponge or soft brush, with short poking movements, perpendicular to the surface. Excess should first be removed on an unnecessary rag or paper.
Advice! It is advisable to use different shades, so the sky looks more realistic.
When the composition hardens a little (it takes an average of 5 to 20 minutes), the template is carefully removed. It will take about a day to fully dry.
Fluorescent and fluorescent stickers
This is the easiest way to make a starry sky on the ceiling with your own hands. But the design does not look very realistic. Basically, this design option is used in children.
Stickers are made of plastic, vinyl or paper. I cover with a layer of luminous paint. For fluorescent, directional UV rays are needed. Luminescent stars are charged by sunlight or light bulbs. In good light, 30 minutes is enough for 4 hours of light. The first half hour they are bright, then gradually fade.
For fastening, take a piece of double-sided tape, apply it to the ceiling in the right place, and then stick the star. Some options make self-adhesive. Then just remove the protective layer and apply to the surface. In the future, neon stars can be re-glued to another place.
Such stickers are sold in sets in the markets and in construction stores in the decoration departments. Can be ordered online.
Wall Mural "starry sky"
Panoramic space paintings print on wallpaper with a paper or non-woven backing. Thanks to the selection of composition and image quality, a 3D effect is obtained. Drawings are often produced in rolls or printed in separate fragments, which are glued butt. Parts make up when glued.
Ceiling wallpaper with the effect of the starry sky are ordinary and luminous. The latter are sometimes called phosphoric, but this is not true, since other compounds are used. Phosphor wallpapers glow softly in the dark, fading after a few hours. To activate fluorescent, you will need a lamp with ultraviolet rays. Thus, you can turn on night illumination only if desired.
The material is sold in specialized wallpaper stores and large construction hypermarkets. You can choose the appropriate size or print to order. The usual paper-based option costs from 400 rubles per m². Textured non-woven wallpaper is more expensive - from 1000 rubles. Luminous will cost 1,500 rubles and above.
Photo printing
First, the image is applied to the canvas. Both film and fabric stretch ceilings are suitable for photo printing. If ordinary ink is used, then a picture is obtained that is visible only during the day, with fluorescent - it glows in the dark.
The image is chosen from the catalog or bring your own, the technology allows you to print any photo. The canvas is better to take with a glossy texture that reflects light. Due to the effect of depth, the cosmos will look more realistic.
There is a ready-made version of the stretch fabric called "Galaxy" - a glossy film with sparkles resembling stars. Available in different colors. In addition to white, black and several shades of blue, you can purchase bright colors (orange, red, green, etc.).
The stretch ceiling with the image of the starry sky is established, as usual. A baguette is mounted around the perimeter of the room to fix the canvas. The PVC film is heated with a heat gun and gradually tucked into the groove of the baguette. The fabric is not required to warm up.
Sometimes they use New Vision technology, or a light ceiling. LED rulers are fixed on the ceiling, and then a semitransparent film with photo printing is pulled. In the dark, the image of space with internal illumination looks even more spectacular.
Pins Starpings
To create the effect of stars, special plastic needles are used. They are available in several colors (transparent, red, yellow, green, blue and orange) and in three sizes, making the space more realistic.
Installation is carried out in the following order:
- First, LED strips are installed on the ceiling.
- Then pull the canvas. Plain, black, dark blue or purple will do. But it looks more interesting in combination with photo printing.
- After that, punctures are made in the material at the place of future stars and Starpins needles are inserted flush with the surface. When you turn on the light passes through the pins, and thus simulates the night sky.
This option is not without flaws. Due to holes in the web, the warranty is not retained. The waterproof properties of the material are also lost. In addition, it will not be possible to remove the ceiling, and then return it to its place, that is, the coating is disposable.
With this method, light passes through all the pins. It will not work to flicker by turning it on alternately. But the implementation is much cheaper than analogues.
Optical fiber
This method is more complicated and more expensive. But the result is impressive: the ceiling is like a real night sky.
Two technologies are used: with and without punctures. Both will need a light generator. The device is hidden under the ceiling, but it is better to provide for the possibility of access to it. A niche with a hatch in the wall or in a plasterboard box of a two-level ceiling is suitable.
On the ceiling, a masking grid is fixed. Fiber optic threads are threaded through it and lowered where the stars should be. When everything is ready, carefully connect them into a bundle and connect to a light generator. At this point, it’s best to make sure everything works.
The film is fixed in two corners diagonally. Threads start from the middle. Use a needle or an awl to puncture. The ends hang 15 cm or more from the surface. Then continue to stretch the film and display the threads.
When the installation is complete, the fibers are trimmed. This is done flush with the surface or a few centimeters lower, then the threads hang and swing in the air.
In the case of punctures, the glow is brighter, but the integrity of the canvas is broken. When the light is off, black dots are noticeable. Therefore, it is better to choose dark colors or photo printing in the form of a starry sky.
The second method is more complicated, and the glow is dimmer. But the ceiling looks flat during the day, and the film can be removed and installed again if necessary.
First, a false ceiling is made of drywall, plywood or a simple stretch film. Through the holes in it stretches the fiber. Threads are cut at such a distance as to abut against the lower (main) ceiling.
The effect is highly dependent on the choice of projector. In a mechanical small built-in motor, the filter rotates, which changes the color of the light flux. The stars go out, light up and take on a different shade at the same time or in turn. Noise is heard during operation. The electronic projector contains programs that control the flickering of fiber optic threads and the change of colors. Manufacturers are developing many modes that reproduce the flight of comets and other effects. They control the work from the remote control.
Swarovski crystals
Sometimes fiber is supplemented with Swarovski crystals. Thus create large stars. Light passes through crystals and falls on the ceiling in the form of rays.
Attention! This method is only used with stretch fabric or drywall constructions.
Special reinforced rings are inserted into the punctures. One or more fibers of optical fiber are brought to each. At the final stage, after trimming, rhinestones are inserted.
Sometimes they take LEDs. They are connected to the wires and hang up like threads. The elements are larger, so the radiance is brighter.
Drywall ceiling with stars
Optical fiber or Swarovski crystals are used with this material. But the technology is slightly different from the stretch ceiling.
First, the plates are laid rough, without closing the cracks. The sheets are numbered so as not to get confused in the future. Mark where the stars will be. Drill holes (for rhinestones - more, under the diameter of the reinforcing ring).
After this, drywall is removed, noting where the profile goes. Fiber optic threads are threaded through holes and connected into bundles, wrapped with tape. To prevent the ends from breaking, you need to put a small support under the sheets (for example, a cut of drywall or a wooden block). Long bundles are folded into bays - so they will not interfere with installation. In places of passage through the holes, the threads are glued.
After drying, the ceiling is collected back. The optical fiber is carefully stretched over the profiles in the direction where the generator will be located. The ends hanging from the ceiling are cut off.
Coat the seams between the plates. All bundles are connected into one and connected to a light generator. The surface is primed and painted. If desired, crystals are inserted.
Starry Sky Pendant Panels
Finished products are produced, which only need to be installed on the ceiling and connected to power. These are flat round disks with a diameter of 1-1.5 meters (but any sizes are custom made). An image of the cosmos is applied to the surface, which begins to shine when turned on. You can supplement the panel with side contour lighting, usually colored.
Disks are made of plastic, aluminum composite or fabric for stretch ceilings, tight-fitting frame. They are turned on and controlled by the touch panel.
The device panels resemble LED lights. Mounted according to the same principle, the nuances depend on the type of finish (suspended, suspended or painted ceiling). LED panels will look more spectacular if you install them on the ceiling with photo wallpaper.
For the Armstrong system, special plates are produced, covered with black velvety material. Between the villi, fiber optic filaments are removed. A light generator with the ability to change color is installed on top.
The points are randomly arranged or form figures of celestial bodies. Flickering creates an imitation of motion: meteorites fall, distant galaxies or rings rotate around the planets. Panels are sold individually or in a set of several.
Projector starry sky
A small device flashes images of stars, planets and other cosmic bodies on the ceiling and walls. Conveniently, you do not need to mount anything. Only a white surface is required. The device can be moved to another room, and some (light and battery powered) can even be taken on a trip.
The simplest show stylized stars. These are placed in children's rooms.
More sophisticated project a realistic night sky. These are real home planetariums that can be used as a teaching tool. They are chosen for schoolchildren and adults.
Sometimes there are additional functions: night light mode, rotation around an axis, a timer, a player that plays music or sounds of nature. Some include additional images, for example, with marine life or the northern lights.
Features! A useful combination is a clock with a projection of the starry sky. Among the standard functions are a calendar, an alarm clock, a timer and an audio player. These include "Eureka 94672".
Simple children's projectors made in China cost from 300-400 rubles. For example, Bradex Starry Sky is a compact device that runs on mains or batteries. "Purple 93359" and "Pink ZC-00018" have an additional nightlight function.
Mid-range products create a realistic picture of the cosmos. The price is about 1-8 thousand rubles. Among them are projectors of Russian (Starry Sky Planetarium) and foreign projectors (World of Space and Ocean by National Geographic, Japanese Edu-Toys Star with enhanced image clarity). Aroma Oil Compartment Added To HomeStar Aroma Model. The case is waterproof and suitable for the bathroom. This planetarium is designed for complete relaxation.
Elite models not only project real constellations. Images unfold, the position of the stars varies depending on the daily rotation of the Earth. The picture is characterized by increased clarity and detail. Often supplemented by films about space and nature. Cost - from 10 thousand rubles and above.
These planetariums include HomeStar Classic and Bresser Junior. Star Wars movie lovers will love the HomeStar R2-D2 EX projector, designed as one of the main robot characters. In addition to the constellations, the model shows spaceships and the main characters of the famous saga.
Stretch ceilings and graphics
The most popular way to make "space" in your apartment is to use a stretch ceiling with a starry sky, applied as a graphic image. It is extremely simple and always beautiful. On a matte film, a real photo of outer space is applied in high quality.
This option can be supplemented with no less simple sconces. With the help of lighting it is easy to create a dim light, a light twilight.
Photo printing is often supplemented by LED backlighting - a popular and absolutely environmentally friendly option that allows you to admire the "stars" from a special angle. The stars will not be bright and bright, but the surroundings themselves will turn out very spectacular.
Planetary scales on the ceiling of a modern apartment
Given such wide technological capabilities, designers tirelessly offer fantastic ideas for decor. A two-level ceiling with the image of a planet deserves special attention.
A special refinement is that the central element of the ceiling is a huge celestial body. In order to make the picture look realistic and colorful, the same photo printing is used. Other stars can complement the image, but in a particular case they do not need additional emphasis.
With the help of LEDs or optical fiber, the silhouette of the planet is illuminated, giving the image a special mystical and romantic tint. Complex structures allow you to control the "mood" of a celestial object. So the starry sky in the bedroom can exude soft pink light, and change the light intensity and color palette according to the mood of the apartment owners.
For fans of action and special special effects, you can supplement the picture of the starry sky on the ceiling with some sudden "events". For example, enchanting meteorite fall or bright "star rain".
LEDs - Stars
The use of LEDs is still considered a rather expensive pleasure, but justified in terms of impeccable performance, safety and reliability. It is not surprising that many experts recommend decorating the ceiling with a “starry sky” gypsum plasterboard or a magical space decor in the bathroom using LED compositions.
LEDs act as stars. They are positioned so that the two-level stretch ceiling really looks like a space void. It is better to think over the decor in advance and make it extremely effective and realistic.
It is important to consider the fact that the ceiling "starry sky" will not flicker or shimmer. LEDs can work exclusively in stable mode. The lighting elements are quite large, so the starburst scattering does not work out. Instead, even from the largest LEDs, you can freely build any constellation or even lay out several zodiac signs.
Such a “starry sky” ceiling in a children's room will delight young astronomy lovers. Huge "stars" can be supplemented with vivid drawings not only on the ceiling, but also on the walls. Thus, from a simple room for a child, you can create a real location for magical adventures.
Luminescent glow
Creating a "space" on the ceiling in any of the rooms is usually not limited to two or three techniques. However, there are also quite worthy of monocomposition. Particular attention should be paid to photographic prints made using fluorescent ink.
In the afternoon, the ceiling looks completely normal. At night, spectacular star patterns will be clearly visible. This is a simple, affordable way for everyone to decorate any type of room.
Cosmos in modern apartments is an ideal solution for any room. This is the most effective and fabulous solution for a children's room. With the help of a mysterious flicker, the atmosphere in the bedroom is transformed. It remains only to determine the key concept of decor and choose the most appropriate technology in each case.
